Connecting Mythology to Spirituality...

What actually do you know about Hindu Mythology?

Hindu mythology is a large body of traditional narratives related to Hinduism, notably as contained in Sanskrit literature, (such as the Sanskrit epics and the Purans). As such, it is a subset of Indian and Nepali culture. Rather than one consistent, monolithic structure, it is a range of diverse traditions, developed by different sects, people and philosophical schools, in different regions and at different times, which are not necessarily held by all Hindus to be literal accounts of historical events, but are taken to have deeper, often symbolic, meaning, and which have been given a complex range of interpretations. (Wikipedia)

To begin with, I’ll first introduce the three graven images; Brahma, Vishnu and Mahesh (Shiva).
Brahma is ideate as the Creator of Universe (according to the scriptures). Likewise Vishnu is envisaged as the Preserver of Universe and Shiva as the
Destroyer.
So what do they actually create, preserve and destroy? What Brahma is doing now, when the universe has already been created? What Vishnu is preserving in the universe and what is Shiva destroying?
To answer these question, let me tell you something specifically about them. But first ask yourself why do we worship them?

Brahma, as I said is ideate as the Creator of universe. But that doesn’t mean he’s busy all the time creating stars, comets and the galaxies. He’s responsible for the creation of our thoughts not anything else. Our thoughts corresponds to desires and those desires are responsible for all the richness around us. Thus Brahma is responsible for the creation of Prakriti (Nature) around us. Brahma keeps on creating something in prakriti (through our thoughts) but never realizes why is he creating? What is the need of his creation? He doesn’t enjoy what has been created, on the contrary every time he takes pride of his creation. This is the psychological representation of Brahma, that how much unstable his mind is.
This fact is so much similar to our own psychology. Like Brahma our mind is also very unstable as our desires never end, we indulge ourselves so much in making our living better that we forget to make our life. We chase happiness on the path of short-term successes, and which ultimately takes us to the way of destruction. And this destruction is Shiva, which I’ll explain later.

Talking about Vishnu, as I said, Vishnu symbolically is envisaged as the Preserver of universe. Actually, Vishnu is responsible for the preservation of what has been created in the universe; our thoughts and indirectly prakriti (nature). Vishnu enjoys what has been created, he’s content with what he possess. His mind is stable and has no desires, unlike Brahma who is never content.
Thus following Vishnu is the path to spirituality and our sole and soul purpose. Following Vishnu is the way to Nirvana, where Shiv exists.

Talking about Shiva, as I said, Shiva symbolically is represented as the Destroyer. Understanding Shiva is the most complex thing, as it took me months to realize the actual meaning of Shiva. Why we worship him, the way we do? The symbolic meaning of his statues, Shiva Linga, etc. Though I’m not going to write about those things in this post. Wait for my next post to learn some secrets of Hindu mythology and Shiva.
So coming back to the point, that why do we call him the Destroyer? Shiva destroys what has been created, indirectly Brahma. At this point, just change your perception of imagining Brahma as we see in typical Indian TV Shows. Take ‘Brahma’ as our ‘thoughts’ which are actually responsible for some creation. Thoughts which carry ego, jealousy and me, mine and not mine like things, Shiva destroys them and takes us to the ecstatic state as Shiva is the destroyer of the three worlds created by the Brahma; Me, Mine and Not Mine. Shiva beheaded the fifth head of Brahma, which was the symbol of his ego. Shiva is not capable of any discrimination in ‘any sense’, because he is away from the worldly happenings. As Brahma and Vishnu resides in Prakriti, Shiva resides in Purusha (ecstatic state, or out of prakriti). Shiva is the greatest tapasvi (Meditator), by which he reached the Ultimate Dimension, and is the True God. Closed eyes of Shiva depicts that he’s meditating and the real world exists inside us, not outside.

In my sense, the whole idea of knowing the reality, knowing what is God is misinterpreted in Hindu Mythology. We just believe what we see and told or described by our parents or our elders but never run our mind to discover the real truth.

All these three images lies inside each one of us. Like Brahma we are distracted towards various fugacious worldly blossoms, and our mind is also unstable like him. We develop ego, feeling of jealousy and hatred towards each other, and can only develop conditional love towards someone.
When someone keeps his mind like Vishnu, he develops unconditional love, and can easily perceive the path towards nirvana (towards Purusha or where God Shiva resides).

This is the explanation to the phrase ‘God is One and resides in each one of us, but not in any man-made structure of bricks and stones. Remember, realizing Self, is realizing God.  Think about it. Do we really need to worship these Gods the way we do, or do they expect something else from us?

And at the end, the only message I want to give you is, don’t perceive this world, as u have been told, or as others do, don’t be accustomed to unnecessary rituals and beliefs, as they won’t take you near to the God, rather it’ll work the other way. The answers to all your problems lies within you. Explore and transcend yourself spiritually and when you do you’ll find it an unnecessary custom to go to any temple or any place to find your God.

Blessings to all.

Cockroach Theory for Self Development

Have you heard of the Cockroach Theory for Self Development?
At a restaurant, a cockroach suddenly flew from somewhere and sat on a lady. She started screaming
out of fear. With a panic stricken face and trembling voice, she started jumping, with both her hands desperately trying to get rid of the cockroach.

Her reaction was contagious, as everyone in her group also got panicky.

The lady finally managed to push the cockroach away but ...it landed on another lady in the group.

Now, it was the turn of the other lady in the group to continue the drama.

The waiter rushed forward to their rescue.
In the relay of throwing, the cockroach next fell upon the waiter.

The waiter stood firm, composed himself and observed the behaviour of the cockroach on his shirt.
When he was confident enough, he grabbed it with his fingers and threw it out of the restaurant.

Sipping my coffee and watching the amusement, the antenna of my mind picked up a few thoughts and started wondering, was the cockroach responsible for their histrionic behaviour?
If so, then why was the waiter not disturbed?
He handled it near to perfection, without any chaos.

It is not the cockroach, but the inability of the ladies to handle the disturbance caused by the cockroach that disturbed the ladies.

I realized that, it is not the shouting of my father or my boss or my wife that disturbs me, but it's my inability to handle the disturbances caused by their shouting that disturbs me.

It's not the traffic jams on the road that disturbs me, but my
inability to handle the disturbance caused by the traffic jam that disturbs me.

More than the problem, it's my reaction to the problem that creates chaos in my life.

Lessons learnt from the story:
Do not react in life. Always respond.

The women reacted, whereas the waiter responded.

Reactions are always instinctive whereas responses are always well thought of, just and right to save a situation from going out of hands, to avoid cracks in relationship, to avoid taking decisions in anger, anxiety, stress or hurry.

A breathe of introspection

What’s the point of celebrating success when deep down inside your heart knows your truth, which know how you have achieved it? Following this path we can only take pride in the shallow closet which we’ve create around us. Instead follow the path of divine and unconditional Love, as there is no better way in life you can attain the Eternal bliss. Also as to become a person of value, love yourself, make your every moment count but first feel it and enjoy the fact that you're alive and healthy. Be compassionate to those who don't love you the way you do.
And remember, to be content with what we possess is the greatest and the most secure of all the riches.

Mudras

What mudras are and how to use them.

A mudrā (English: /muːˈdrɑː/ , Sanskrit: मुद्रा "seal", "mark", or "gesture"; Tibetan. ཕྱག་རྒྱ་, chakgya) is a symbolic or ritual gesture in Hinduism and Buddhism.
A mudrā is a spiritual gesture and an energetic seal of authenticity employed in the iconography and spiritual practice of Indian religions and traditions of Dharma and Taoism. (Wikipedia)

Mudras are positions of the body that have some kind of influence on the energies of the body, or your mood. Mostly the hands and fingers are held in some position, but the whole body may be part of the mudra as well. The most well-known mudras are probably the ones performed while meditating. One sits in lotus position (or with crossed legs) and either puts one's hands on the knees, the tips of the thumb and index finger joining, or in the lap, the fingers of the right hand resting on the left palm. But also the Christian crossing of the fingers for prayer is a mudra, as is the "Namaste" Indian greeting gesture (that is also used while praying), where the hands are held in front of the chest, the palms touching.
The crossing of the hands puts one's attention within, while opening the heart. The Indian greeting gesture puts one into a mood of respect.

Hakini mudra  Some mudras are performed spontaneously by many people, like the Hakini mudra, where the tips of all fingers from the right hand touch the corresponding fingertips from the left.
Mudras have been in use in the East for thousands of years, particularly in Buddhism. Buddha statues often have the hands in certain hand positions. They have been used as a spiritual practice (and still are), as a way on the path to enlightenment.
Gyan mudraHowever they're also used for physical ailments.

The String Theory

What do you know about The String Theory?
I've given a short description about it in simple language, so that it could be easily understood by everyone.
In 1992, Theodore Kaluza gave a bizarre idea and proposed that our universe might actually have more than three dimensions, that is in addition to left-right, back-forth and up-down, Kaluza proposed that there might be additional dimensions of space that for some reason we don’t yet see. But this was just some explanation, we don’t know whether it’s right or wrong. This idea has had a major impact on physics in the last century.
Now I’d like to tell you about the stories of these extra dimensions. To begin, we need a little bit of back story, we go to 1907, when Einstein was working on a new theory to try to understand fully the grand pervasive force of gravity because even Newton had written that although he has understood how to calculate the effect of gravity but he was unable to figure out how it actually works! How is it that the Sun 93 million miles away somehow affects the motion of the earth? How does Sun reach out empty and inert space and exert influence.
So Einstein found that the medium that transmits gravity is space itself. He explained this through warps and curves of space. Imagine space as a flat blanket where there is no matter present. But if, there is some matter in the environment, such as the Sun which causes space of fabric to warp, to curve, and that communicates the force of gravity, even the Earth warps, curves the space around. Also the Moon is kept in orbit according to these ideas, which rolls around the valley, in the curved environment around the Earth. Likewise, Earth too moves around the Sun, or we can say, Earth is fall into the curved space of the Sun. This is the concept of Space-Time Fabrication. Refer the figure below.

Now that explanation of Einstein made Kaluza thinking. He like Einstein was, in search of a unified theory, which is one theory that might be able to describe all of nature’s forces from set of ideas and principles.
So influenced by Einstein’s idea, Kaluza explained electromagnetic force through warps and curves of space. That raises a question, warps and curves in what??
So Kaluza said, “Maybe there are more dimensions of space. To describe one or more force maybe I need one more dimension”. So while working on the three-dimensional equation which Einstein had already described, he found one more equation of fourth dimension which was equation of Electro-magnetic force.

Now two question arises: If there are extra dimensions, where are they? And does this theory really works when applied?

Answer to the first question: In 1926, a scientist said that there could be dimensions which are not easy to be perceived by us, but others might be curled up that we might not be able to see.
Answer to the second question: The scientists worked really hard on this, but in detail it detail it didn’t work. They didn’t find the mass of an electron work out correctly.

Now certainly by 50’s this strange but very compelling idea of how to unify the laws had gone away. But then by our age, by our era, a new approach to unify the laws of physics is being pursued by scientists such as Brian Greene, Stephen Hawking, etc., it is called the String Theory.
At beginning it has nothing to do with extra dimensions, but later it resurrects those ideas. The idea is based on, what are the basic, indivisible, uncuttable constituents present all around us? Imagine we’re looking at a candle, and we want to figure out what it is made of. So we go on a journey deep inside the object and examine the constituents. So going deep inside, we fall down to atoms, and we all know atoms are just not the end of the story, there we see little electrons swarm around the central nucleus, then we have neutrons and protons, even these aren’t the smallest particle, we zoom in further, we find quarks and that is where the conventional idea stops, and here is the new idea of string theory. Deep inside any of these particles (quarks) is something else, this something else is the dancing filament of energy which looks like a vibrating string and that’s where the idea of String Theory comes from. These vibrating strings vibrate in different patterns, they don’t produce different musical notes, rather they produce different particles making up the world around us. So the whole universe is ultimately built up of these tiny little filaments of vibrating energy, vibrating at different frequencies, the different frequencies produce different particles, the different particles are responsible for all the richness in the world around us. And there you see unification because matter particles, electrons and quarks, radiation particles; photons, gravitons, are all built up from one entity, so matter and the forces of nature all are put together under the roof of vibrating strings and that’s what we mean by the unified theory. But practically and mathematically, the string theory doesn’t work in the universe with just three-dimensions of space, it doesn’t work in the universe with 4-dimensions of space, nor five, nor six, finally you can study the equations and show that it works only in the universe that has ten dimensions of space and one dimension of time.
So this is all the basics of String theory you need to know about. And I'd like to thank the  theoretical physicist and string theorist Sir Brian Greene for introducing this wonderful concept to the world.

Happy reading friends. :)

Enlightenment is not something that is discovered out there. No one can enlighten us. Others may inspire us, but ultimately, wisdom comes from within. It begins with a discovery of one’s true self, arising from a conscious desire to know the truth. Gaze into the splendour of your golden heart, and know that you are soul, child of God, perfect and free.

LATEST CANCER INFORMATION

from Johns Hopkins
AFTER YEARS OF TELLING PEOPLE CHEMOTHERAPY IS THE ONLY WAY TO TRY AND ELIMINATE CANCER, JOHNS HOPKINS IS FINALLY S...TARTING TO TELL YOU THERE IS AN ALTERNATIVE WAY …

1. Every person has cancer cells in the body. These cancer cells do not show up in the standard tests until they have multiplied to a few billion. When doctors tell cancer patients that there are no more cancer cells in their bodies after treatment, it just means the tests are unable to detect the cancer cells because they have not reached the detectable size.

2. Cancer cells occur between 6 to more than 10 times in a person's lifetime.

3. When the person's immune system is strong the cancer cells will be destroyed and prevented from multiplying and forming tumors.

4. When a person has cancer it indicates the person has multiple nutritional deficiencies. These could be due to genetic, environmental, food and lifestyle factors.

5. To overcome the multiple nutritional deficiencies, changing diet and including supplements will strengthen the immune system.

6. Chemotherapy involves poisoning the rapidly-growing cancer cells and also destroys rapidly-growing healthy cells in the bone marrow, gastro-intestinal tract etc, and can cause organ damage, like liver, kidneys, heart, lungs etc.

7. Radiation while destroying cancer cells also burns, scars and damages healthy cells, tissues and organs.

8. Initial treatment with chemotherapy and radiation will often reduce tumor size. However prolonged use of chemotherapy and radiation do not result in more tumor destruction.

9. When the body has too much toxic burden from chemotherapy and radiation the immune system is either compromised or destroyed, hence the person can succumb to various kinds of infections and complications.

10. Chemotherapy and radiation can cause cancer cells to mutate and become resistant and difficult to destroy. Surgery can also cause cancer cells to spread to other sites.

11. An effective way to battle cancer is to STARVE the cancer cells by not feeding it with foods it needs to multiple.

What cancer cells feed on:

a. Sugar is a cancer-feeder. By cutting off sugar it cuts off one important food supply to the cancer cells. Note: Sugar substitutes like NutraSweet, Equal, Spoonful, etc are made with Aspartame and it is harmful. A better natural substitute would be Manuka honey or molasses but only in very small amounts. Table salt has a chemical added to make it white in colour. Better alternative is Bragg's aminos or sea salt.

b. Milk causes the body to produce mucus, especially in the gastro-intestinal tract. Cancer feeds on mucus. By cutting off milk and substituting with unsweetened soy milk, cancer cells will starved.

c. Cancer cells thrive in an acid environment. A meat-based diet is acidic and it is best to eat fish, and a little chicken rather than beef or pork. Meat also contains livestock antibiotics, growth hormones and parasites, which are all harmful, especially to people with cancer.

d. A diet made of 80% fresh vegetables and juice, whole grains, seeds, nuts and a little fruits help put the body into an alkaline environment. About 20% can be from cooked food including beans. Fresh vegetable juices provide live enzymes that are easily absorbed and reach down to cellular levels within 15 minutes t o nourish and enhance growth of healthy cells.

To obtain live enzymes for building healthy cells try and drink fresh vegetable juice (most vegetables including bean sprouts) and eat some raw vegetables 2 or 3 times a day. Enzymes are destroyed at temperatures of 104 degrees F (40 degrees C).

e. Avoid coffee, tea, and chocolate, which have high caffeine. Green tea is a better alternative and has cancer-fighting properties. Water--best to drink purified water, or filtered, to avoid known toxins and heavy metals in tap water. Distilled water is acidic, avoid it.

12. Meat protein is difficult to digest and requires a lot of digestive enzymes. Undigested meat remaining in the intestines will become putrified and leads to more toxic buildup.

13. Cancer cell walls have a tough protein covering. By refraining from or eating less meat it frees more enzymes to attack the protein walls of cancer cells and allows the body's killer cells to destroy the cancer cells.

14. Some supplements build up the immune system (IP6, Flor-ssence, Essiac, anti-oxidants, vitamins, minerals, EFAs etc.) to enable the body's own killer cells to destroy cancer cells. Other supplements like vitamin E are known to cause apoptosis, or programmed cell death, the body's normal method of disposing of damaged, unwanted, or unneeded cells.

15. Cancer is a disease of the mind, body, and spirit. A proactive and positive spirit will help the cancer warrior be a survivor.

Anger, unforgiving and bitterness put the body into a stressful and acidic environment. Learn to have a loving and forgiving spirit. Learn to relax and enjoy life.

16. Cancer cells cannot thrive in an oxygenated environment. Exercising daily, and deep breathing help to get more oxygen down to the cellular level. Oxygen therapy is another means employed to destroy cancer cells.

Meaning of Spirituality

What do you know about Spirituality?

For me spirituality is the divine connection with infinite wisdom. It is about knowing Who We Are, what we want to be? It is about deep introspection, knowing our purpose on this planet and why have we given this life the way it is. For a moment, stay focused and think why are we in this world where there is so much pain (for some), so much to bear, be it injustice in any sense, hatred or disrespect?

Spirituality is certainly the ultimate path on which we can find perception of the beautiful world we desire. Where there is no restriction for anything. We only do what our heart wants us to do and we don't listen to this mind which is so attached to the worldly obligations. Spirituality is the ultimate freedom from these worldly obligations and helps us to determine WHO WE ARE and WHAT WE WANT TO BE.

Also think and imagine that how this world would look when all you can feel around is love, where there is no discrimination of any kind, everyone is treated equally, loved unintentionally and where there is respect for each being's feelings. We must not try to change the world, first bring the change within. Spread love unintentionally and indiscriminately.

Solfeggio Frequencies

Ever heard about Solfeggio Frequencies?

These original sound frequencies were apparently used in Ancient Gregorian Chants, such as the great hymn to St. John the Baptist, along with others that church authorities say were lost centuries ago. The chants and their special tones were believed to impart tremendous spiritual blessings when sung in harmony during religious masses. These powerful frequencies were rediscovered by Dr. Joseph Puleo as described in the book Healing Codes for the Biological Apocalypse by Dr. Leonard Horowitz. I give honour to both of these gentleman for the part they’ve played in helping return these lost frequencies back to humanity.
The Six Solfeggio Frequencies include:
UT – 396 Hz – Liberating Guilt and Fear
RE – 417 Hz – Undoing Situations and Facilitating Change
MI – 528 Hz – Transformation and Miracles (DNA Repair)
FA – 639 Hz – Connecting/Relationships
SOL – 741 Hz – Awakening Intuition
LA – 852 Hz – Returning to Spiritual Order
For example, the third note, frequency 528, relates to the note MI on the scale and derives from the phrase “MI-ra gestorum” in Latin meaning “miracle.” Stunningly, this is the exact frequency used by genetic biochemists to repair broken DNA – the genetic blueprint upon which life is based!
A Little History
At the turn of the century the awareness of DNA entered the collective consciousness of the world. We have incarnated into this human experience as divine beings with a blueprint, a set of instructions. We know that a very small percentage (3%) of those instructions make up our physiology.
Carl Sagan writes that most of our genetic information (about 97%) is unused DNA. He refers to this as “genetic gibberish.” Is it possible that most of who we are still lies dormant as our human potential?
In the old paradigm of religion, “potential” remained a mystery to the human mind, therefore we coined a mystical term called “SPIRIT.” “Spirit” was something that was detached from who we were, something we didn’t have and could only be gained through the systems of most religions.
The old paradigm and its premise stated that we began as biology in the womb of our mothers. Telliard deChardin tells us that we are not a human being trying to attain a spiritual experience, but, rather, we are spiritual beings having a human experience. This shift in perception causes a tremendous difference in the way we perceive ourselves in this third/fourth time-space continuum.

Through spectacles of Love

Instead of 'trying' to make the world a better place, just allow love to flow from your heart for everyone and everything, and the world will naturally become a better place.
We generally relegate ourselves(our souls) in other spiritual dimensions when love is not spread. Thus we move far away from the true reason of our existence, peregrinating our stellar soul.
In the bosom of love, the soul rejuvenates and spews out more love captivating energy.

Imagine what a wonderful world Earth would be, if everyone shared from their golden, love-filled hearts.
                                                                                                  -Sri Gawn Tu Fahr

We are not a mission. We are love's missions.

Love isn't a verb or a noun. Love isn't something we do.
We exist because of God's love. We are all children of God.
We are love. This simple truth is all we need to know.
